Meet the Three Dentists Who Lead Your Care
La Costa Dental Excellence is led by three dentists, each with a distinct path into dentistry and a shared commitment to the practice’s standard of care.
Dr. Stephen Dankworth, DDS has led the practice since co-founding it in 1988. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific and brings nearly four decades of clinical experience in general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Years of treatment-planning complex cases have made his approach steady, methodical, and oriented toward outcomes that hold up over time.
Dr. Kimberly Corrigan-Dankworth, DDS has been practicing dentistry since 1984 and is the practice’s family-care anchor. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific. Her experience treating multiple generations of the same family is one of the reasons families across North County San Diego come to her for care that lasts.
Dr. Piper Dankworth, DDS practices preventive, restorative, and cosmetic-focused patient-centered dentistry at the practice. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Utah School of Dentistry, where she was recognized for excellence in oral surgery, implantology, and patient-centered treatment planning. She has completed more than 300 hours of advanced continuing education, with focused training through the Kois Center, the California Implant Institute, the Wellness Dentistry Network, and DOCS Education. The Kois Center training in particular shapes her approach to comprehensive aesthetic dentistry: evidence-based, conservative when possible, and designed for results that look natural in the patient’s own face.
